About the Role:

The Law Clerk Summer Intern for administrative work plays a crucial role in supporting the legal team by managing essential clerical and organizational tasks during the summer period. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in a legal environment, allowing the intern to gain insight into the daily operations of a law office while contributing to its efficiency. The intern will assist with document preparation, file management and other projects. By maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication within the office, the intern helps uphold the high standards of professionalism and organization required in legal practice. Ultimately, this role serves as a foundational experience for those interested in pursuing a career in law, combining administrative support with exposure to legal processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably with coursework related to law, political science, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent office software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a legal or administrative setting, including internships or volunteer work.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and basic legal procedures.
