We are now looking for students to join the Internal Engagement & Communication Partnering (IECP) team within Group Brand Communication and Marketing (GBCM). This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in internal communications and engagement while bringing your creativity to a vibrant communication team. Take the opportunity to gain experience and be equipped to kick start your career in communications and put what you learned at university into practice.

About our team

Welcome to us! Our team drives how we engage colleagues across the bank and how we tell the story of Nordea from the inside. We create communication that encourages people to act and feel, not just stay informed. As part of GBCM, we collaborate broadly across the organisation to shape content for our biggest internal channels, including Nordea News on Intra.

We believe that curiosity, openness, and service-minded collaboration are key to making internal communication truly work. If you’re energised by people, content and the challenge of changing behaviour, you’ll fit right in. With us, you will be in good company, with ambitious colleagues, giving you the opportunity to create and contribute to something bigger.

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

In this role you will:

  • Help create and develop concepts for video series for Nordea News.
  • Write, edit and prepare articles & stories for publication our internal channels.
  • Lead and drive the ‘All Nordea’ Viva Engage channel in close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Support with managing incoming emails to our editorial inbox, making sure questions are answered, and no request falls between the cracks.
  • Explore new ways of engaging colleagues, from interactive formats to creative storytelling.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure communication is meaningful, timely, and actionable.

This role is based in Denmark, designed to be combined with university studies (about 80 hours per month), during regular office hours.

Who you are

We are looking for a broad range of candidates, and we believe that the most important attributes are to bring passion to your work, be engaged, and have an analytical and curious mindset. It’s a plus if you are a fast learner. As we look for fresh perspectives and different ways of thinking, we encourage applications from individuals with diverse academic backgrounds, but It's an advantage if you study journalism or communication, as these fields closely support the nature of the role.

Your background and skills include:

  • Service-minded, curious, open and proactive.
  • Strong social skills and a natural ability to understand stakeholder needs.
  • Comfortable with words and visual storytelling, whether through writing, simple video editing or content creation.
  • Interested in how communication can drive engagement and change behaviour.
  • Studying at university, fluent in English (and ideally Danish).
  • Experience with content tools is useful, but the most important thing is your willingness to learn.

What we offer

You’ll join a supportive, creative and collaborative team where your ideas matter. You’ll learn the craft of internal communication in a large, multicultural organisation and get experience that will be valuable throughout your career. Building a true high-performance culture is something we have been continuously evolving over the past years, and we want to continue on that path.

Diversity and inclusion are a natural part of our daily work. We know that an inclusive workplace is a sustainable one. We genuinely believe that our diverse backgrounds, experiences, characteristics and traits make us stronger together. Every day we strive to find new ways to improve diversity and inclusion within our community e.g. we have signed the European Diversity Charters in the countries where we operate to show our commitment and engage with others to continue learning and improving.
