About the Role

Dark Wolf is looking for Data and AI Interns to join us for the summer. As an intern in our headquarters, you will work at the intersection of modern software delivery and emerging intelligence. This role is designed for students who are passionate about building scalable data architectures and implementing data-driven AI solutions. This position will require on-site support in Herndon, VA. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering: Build and optimize data pipelines to ensure high-quality data is available for analysis and model training using tools like Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.

  • AI & Machine Learning: Support the integration of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) into existing workflows, performing prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementation.

  • Cloud Delivery: Assist in deploying data-centric applications to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.

  • Emerging Tech Research: Explore the cutting edge of AI security, analyzing the impact of emerging technologies on modern cyber engineering and national security missions.

  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to experience the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational knowledge in Python (preferred for AI/Data tracks) and a basic understanding of data structures.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • US citizenship. 

 

The internship will require full time on-site support in Herndon, VA. The pay is $20/hr.
