About the Role

Your next role as a Miracle Maker 

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Manufacturing team at TriLink BioTechnologies as a Manufacturing Intern. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting mRNA-based workflows while developing a strong foundation in nucleic acid production.

As part of your core project, you will contribute to the design and validation of untranslated region (UTR) sequences for mRNA. The Manufacturing Intern will partner with scientists in the Operations Technical Support team to design, optimize, and implement standard protocols for PCR methods unique to the new UTRs designed by the TriLink Europe team.  The intern will utilize the following skills:

  • Primer design
  • PCR amplification of DNA
  • In-vitro transcription of mRNA
  • Silica purification of mRNA
  • Fragment Analysis of mRNA and DNA, along with data interpretation
  • Analysis of advanced mRNA analytics
  • SOP and batch record use and drafting
  • Process transfer to manufacturing
  • Building production cost models

 The skills and experience that you will bring:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Bioengineering, or a related life science discipline
  • Foundational understanding of molecular biology concepts (e.g., DNA, RNA, gene expression) preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

The anticipated salary range for this position is $25.00 per hour. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
