Job Description
Summary: The purpose of the Import/Export Summer Internship is to review and analyze import and export codes to determine eligibility for tariff-related rebate opportunities and support cost recovery initiatives. This position supports cost-saving initiatives through detailed data analysis and cross-referencing data spreadsheets and charges.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: Ideal candidate will be pursuing or recently completed coursework in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Prior import/export experience is helpful but not required; this role is very suitable for someone looking to gain hands-on experience.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to review and compare data across documents (entry summaries, invoices, duty charges, etc.)
- Basic understanding of import/export processes (HTS, duties, brokerage)—or willingness to learn
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large data sets
- Good organizational and communication skills
