The team you’ll join

About the role

Reporting to StepStone Seoul team managing Korea investor relations and capital raising process in South Korea, the position will assist in all aspects of the Investor Relations and fundraising activities related to client/prospect events. Being part of the team, the candidate will be able to gain an understanding of the overall private equity industry from a top-down perspective from investment to fund raising, and the experience in global top-tier managers could potentially lead to a successful career trajectory in finance.

What you’ll do

In this position you will work with various teams such as Operations Team and Investment Team on the collation and analysis of a wide range of data points from around the firm, to be delivered by succinct and comprehensive written and oral communication to the end client, prospect or consultant.

Key responsibilities

  • Research on private equity/infrastructure industry and GP universe
  • Create case studies for private equity/infrastructure investment
  • Analyze and present macro trends, business outlook of portfolio companies, competitive dynamics etc;
  • Prepare meeting minutes both in English and Korean if necessary
  • Translate research paper, marketing documents for internal purposes
  • Assist with seniors in the team daily with projects and other ad-hoc tasks

What we’re looking for

  • Must be able to work legally in Korea without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future 
  • Top academic performance from leading universities
  • Knowledge of the M&A deals, asset management, or private equity industry is preferable
  • Ability to have communicate comprehensively and be a strong team player
  • Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines/under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to problem-solve and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Korean
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
