About the Role
<p><strong>Dufour Aerospace</strong> is pioneering drones for critical missions. Based in Switzerland, Dufour develops and manufactures efficient and sustainable aircraft for cargo transportation, logistics, and public safety.</p> <p>We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join us in streamlining our hardware development process. You will play a key role in the <strong>AeroMini platform -</strong> our agile, small-scale R&amp;D platform used to validate technologies for our large-scale <strong>Aero-200</strong> aircraft.</p> <h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2> <p>Your primary mission will be to lead the onboarding and implementation of a new <strong>innovative wiring tool</strong> for the AeroMini platform. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between digital design and physical hardware, ensuring our R&amp;D platforms are built with precision and efficiency. </p> <p><strong>Tasks:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Tool Onboarding:</strong> Take ownership of introducing and integrating a new digital wiring tool into our AeroMini workflow.</li> <li><strong>System Mapping:</strong> Help define and document electrical architectures for our small-scale flight test platforms.</li> <li><strong>Hands-on Interaction:</strong> Support wiring and harness assembly, as well as on-aircraft debugging tasks on a regular basis.</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder Communication:</strong> Coordinate closely with engineers and technicians to ensure the tool meets the needs of the wider team.</li> <li><strong>Optimization:</strong> Identify bottlenecks and propose pragmatic, efficient solutions.</li> </ul> <h2 id="requirements">Requirements</h2> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Background:</strong> Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical field.<br><em>Note: A Bachelor’s degree is not strictly required if you have significant relevant practical experience.</em></li> <li><strong>Logical Thinking:</strong> Ability to grasp complex new concepts quickly and a strong drive for pragmatic problem-solving.</li> <li><strong>Hands-on Mentality:</strong> You enjoy getting your hands dirty and moving from the screen to the workbench.</li> <li><strong>Communication:</strong> Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information concisely.</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring principles.</li> <li>Experience with a <strong>multimeter</strong> and basic <strong>harness/crimping tasks</strong> is a significant advantage.</li> <li><strong>Availability:</strong> Starting as soon as possible for a minimum duration of <strong>4 months</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Location:</strong> We are only considering candidates <strong>currently residing in Switzerland</strong> with a valid work permit.</li> </ul> <h2 id="benefits">Benefits</h2> <p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>The chance to work at the forefront of the advanced air mobility (AAM) industry.</li> <li>A high degree of independence and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on our R&amp;D processes.</li> <li>A dynamic, international environment with a &quot;get things done&quot; culture.</li> <li>Flexible working models (Part-time minimum 60% or Full-time).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Dufour Aerospace</strong> is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, sex, gender identity, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.</p> <p><strong>We are looking forward to getting in touch with you!</strong></p>
