This in-office position is based at our headquarters in Saint Paul, MN.
Primary Objective of Position
Computype is seeking a Summer Supply Chain and Planning Intern to support our manufacturing operations. This role offers a balanced, hands-on experience, with time spent both on the production floor and in the warehouse while also supporting core supply chain functions such as purchasing, scheduling and planning. Intern will develop a practical understanding of how manufacturing operations and supply chain activities work together to support on-time delivery and efficient production.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work on the production floor and in the warehouse, supporting packaging, material movement, and general manufacturing operations.
- Assist with inventory organization, receiving, and shipping activities.
- Provide support to Purchasing, Scheduling, and Supply Chain teams through data entry, coordination, and follow-up.
- Help identify and support opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and workflow.
- Complete one or more assigned improvement or analysis projects and present findings and recommendations to the team and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Interest in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
- Willingness to split time between hands-on production/warehouse work and office-based supply chain tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Pursuing a degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly rate for this role will be $18-20 per hour, commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for benefits.
