About the Role

Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of computer systems. Some of the tasks may include software installation, system updates, and user support, contributing to the overall efficiency and security of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Interns hired for this position will gain valuable hands-on experience in supporting IT departments.

Position Qualifications/Education

List the essential job functions of this position.

  • Imaging Windows 11 on brand new machines
  • Configure Windows 11 for users being upgraded
  • Asset Management
    • New machines
    • Machines that come back from users
    • Other Chicago asset tagging as assigned
    • Assets from recycling from Chicago, WDC and regional offices
  • Mobile Device recycling
    • Confirm find my iPhone turned off
    • Confirm device wiped
    • Record model number and space
    • Get shipping labels from Lynx Buyback
    • Package and ship phones for  employess
  • Security Checks
    • Windows update, run report in KACE
    • Security Awareness Training data (pull reports, phish prone)
    • Browser extensions in Defender
      • Providing list of machines most critical extensions need to be removed from
  • Bosch PTT testing
    • Work with Jon to test all microphones and central units
    • Update laptops with latest windows update
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Education: At a minimum, currently in High School
  2. Experience: Currently or has attended information technology related curriculum.
