Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Development Intern to support our M&A and strategic growth initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full acquisition lifecycle—from sourcing and outreach through diligence, valuation, and board-level reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential acquisition targets within priority end markets
  • Develop market maps and conduct end-market research to support new acquisition themes
  • Build concise one-page profiles on prospective targets, including: services and offerings, end markets served, geographic reach, customer base, leadership teams, and estimated financials
  • Assist with drafting and tracking initial and follow-up outreach emails to target companies
  • Maintain and update the outreach log and CRM/M&A tracker
  • Ensure pipeline data is current with target status, next steps, and key data points
  • Support the preparation of internal presentations, including monthly M&A updates
  • Assist with building board decks and supporting analyses related to acquisition activity
  • Support active transactions across financial, commercial, and operational diligence workstreams
  • Help organize virtual data rooms and diligence request lists
  • Track management Q&A and follow-ups throughout the diligence process
  • Assist with valuation models, sensitivity analyses, and other financial modeling on live opportunities
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and industry research
  • Support special projects tied to corporate strategy and inorganic growth initiatives.

 

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Exposure to M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or strategy coursework/internships
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation concepts
  • Interest in mergers & acquisitions and corporate strategy

Work Environment:

Primarily an office environment

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift to 25 lbs. as needed
