CJ America’s New York Office is currently recruiting college students for the 2026 Summer Internship programs.
This is a part-time paid internship. The ideal candidate should be eager to gain hands-on experience in the corporate affairs sector of a global company, developing and refining their skills in digital marketing, content creation, and communications, while adhering to CJ’s “HAGOJABI” talent philosophy and core values: TALENT (Exceptional Talent & Exceptional Culture), ONLYONE (First, Best & Different), and SHARED GROWTH (Building Ecosystems and Shared Value).
Job Overview:
At CJ America, our Corporate Affairs team is responsible for developing, executing, and actively advocating CJ’s corporate, government affairs, and communication strategy in the Americas.
The Summer (Communications & Marketing) Intern will collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team to support the development and execution of marketing and communication initiatives pertaining to its 2026 content calendar and corporate brand elevation. The intern will contribute to various projects, such as content creation and social media campaigns. This position offers an opportunity to build real-world skills in digital marketing, content creation, graphic design, and strategic messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Assist in writing and editing content for digital social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and newsletters. Help craft compelling visuals that align with CJ’s brand and messaging
- Social Media Support: Monitor social media channels, assist in creating posts, and help track performance metrics to measure engagement and effectiveness. Contribute to the development of creative campaigns
- Event Promotion: Assist with event logistics and marketing efforts for corporate and public events, including social media promotion
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in communications and marketing. Assist in tracking media coverage and compiling reports on marketing efforts
Basic Qualifications:
- Ideal Candidates Have Undergraduate Studies in: Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, Business, or a related field
- Strong Writing & Editing Skills: Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content for various social media platforms
- Creativity & Attention to Detail: Ability to brainstorm new marketing ideas and bring them to life through compelling visuals and creative messaging. A keen eye for detail is essential
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas and supporting team members to meet project goals
- Organization & Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects at once
- Creative Mindset and Basic Design Skills: Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign) is a must for creating social media graphics and other marketing materials
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), as well as familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp) and basic website management
- Interest in Communications & Marketing: A passion for storytelling, digital marketing, branding, and communications. Prior experience in marketing or communications (through coursework or previous internships) is a plus
- At least 18 years of age by June 21, 2026
- Capable of commuting to our New York office from Monday to Thursday (*Remote work options are not available)
- Authorized to work in the United States
The anticipated hourly wage range for interns who will work in New York is $23 per hour to $26 per hour. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate will be subject to several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of the candidate’s experience within the job; type and length of experience within the specific industry; educational background; and the location of internship. This hourly wage range may not reflect the pay scale for interns who work in other states.
