Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- I-9 Verification: Assist in verifying the employment eligibility of new hires, including reviewing I-9 forms and ensuring compliance with federal regulations
- Immigration Sponsorship: Support the process of sponsoring employees for work visas, including preparing paperwork and communicating with external vendors
- E-Verify: Assist in managing the E-Verify system, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and resolving any issues that arise
- Immigration Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee immigration documents, including passports, visas, and green cards
- Data Entry: Accurately and efficiently enter data into HR systems, including employee information, benefits, and compensation data
- Reporting and Analytics: Prepare reports and analyze data to inform HR decisions, including metrics on employee engagement, turnover, and benefits utilization.
- HR Project Support: Support various HR projects, including employee recognition programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and compliance projects.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing for audits, including reviewing documentation, preparing reports, and responding to auditor requests
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects, such as implementing new HR systems or processes, or supporting the development of HR programs and initiatives.
- Employee Support: Provide support to employees on HR-related matters, including answering questions, resolving issues, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures related to R&B
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness in HR operations
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Current status of enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or a related field program (BS required, MS preferred)
- Previous internship or work experience in HR, business, or a related field (preferably 1-2 years)
- Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, and laws (e.g., employment law, benefits, compensation), benefits administration, compensation analysis, or other HR functions (desirable)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Volunteer or extracurricular experience in HR-related roles (e.g., HR club, student organization) is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and external partners. Strong analytical, problem-solving
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Proactive, flexible, and adaptable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
- 24 hours a week for 12 months
