CJ America’s New York Office is currently recruiting college students for the 2026 Summer Internship programs.


This is a part-time paid internship. The ideal candidate should be eager to gain hands-on experience in the corporate affairs sector of a global company, developing and refining their skills in digital marketing, content creation, and communications, while adhering to CJ’s “HAGOJABI” talent philosophy and core values: TALENT (Exceptional Talent & Exceptional Culture), ONLYONE (First, Best & Different), and SHARED GROWTH (Building Ecosystems and Shared Value).

Job Overview

Agility in planning and innovation are foundational to creating a robust and forward-looking strategy. At CJ America, our Corporate Strategy team works together to shape business strategy, identify growth opportunities, and engage with emerging trends across CJ’s core sectors, including Food/Food Services, Biotech, Logistics, Retail, and Entertainment.


The Summer Intern (Corporate Strategy) will use their education, experience, and problem-solving skills to support both teams in strategic planning, market research, and innovation initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate strategy development as well as startup sourcing and investment analysis, providing insight into how a global conglomerate drives growth through both internal strategy and external innovation.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with Corporate Development and Open Innovation professionals to gain exposure to CJ’s core business sectors and understand both short and long-term strategic priorities
  • Assist with various tasks including: 
  1. Conduct U.S. and Korean market research across Food, Bio, Logistics, Retail, and Entertainment sectors, as well as emerging innovation trends
  2. Support startup sourcing efforts, including identifying early to growth-stage companies and maintaining internal deal pipeline records
  3. Draft internal reports, presentations, and one-pagers for strategic initiatives, potential investments, or partnership opportunities
  4. Manage corporate records, deal tracking systems, and related documentation
  5. Communicate and coordinate with internal departments, affiliates, and global counterparts, including teams in Korea
  6. Support meeting preparation, event logistics, and general administrative & clerical duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications 

  • Current undergraduate or recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
  • Strong research skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects 
  • Self-motivated, organized, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proactive attitude with the willingness to take on new challenges and learn from experienced professionals 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Bilingual in English/Korean preferred 
  • At least 18 years of age by June 21, 2026
  • Capable of commuting to our New York office from Monday to Thursday (*Remote work options are not available).
  • Authorized to work in the United States

 

The anticipated hourly wage range for interns who will work in New York is $23 per hour to $26 per hour. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate will be subject to several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of the candidate’s experience within the job; type and length of experience within the specific industry; educational background; and the location of internship. This hourly wage range may not reflect the pay scale for interns who work in other states.
