Job DetailsJob Location: Carle Place, NY 11514Position Type: InternshipEMSL is seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern (Login) in our Carle Place, NY location. This is a support position for the front office. It will include customer service, data entry, shipping, receiving, and distributing samples.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Receive environmental samples and log-in/data entry Chain of Custody into LIMS system Inspect samples to ensure sample integrity is retained and that the packaging is not compromised Generate analytical reports and enter data produced by analysts into the computer system for the production of the final, client ready report.  Reports are generated in the priority in which the lab manager assigns them Clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, faxing, assisting clients, scanning, mailing, etc. as necessary Assist with customer services client questions via phone and e-mail Keep work area clean and organized by wiping down sample receiving area, assisting with trash and recycling removal Assist with sample preparation as needed.  QualificationsRequirements: High school degree or equivalent Must be proficient in MS Office and typing Excellent communication and computer skills Excellent customer service skills – customer service experience is a plus Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task Must be able to prioritize work assignments Available Shift: Position is Part-Time Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (training to start will be Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) This is a seasonal position, starting in early June and ending in mid to late August Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Carle Place, NY are encouraged to apply.
