Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Test Engineering Intern located in our Austin, TX Corporate HQ site.

Reporting to the PSG Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Execute functional tests on various electronic devices or hardware components.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software utilities to evaluate functionality and identify issues.
  • Perform visual inspections, functionality checks, and test documentation.
  • Record defects, error codes, and test outcomes accurately.
  • Support technical troubleshooting under guidance from senior technicians or engineers.
  • Document failure modes, inconsistencies, and testing variances.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring failures using Pareto, 5 Whys, and fishbone diagrams.
  • Maintain detailed logs and ensure accurate data entry into tracking systems.
  • Assist with reporting KPIs such as FPY, test failure rates, process accuracy, and rework cycles.
  • Support basic analysis using Excel or Power BI.

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

  • Currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (undergrads only).
  • Interest in diagnostics, quality, or hands‑on technical work.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Basic experience with Excel or similar tools.

Internship Program Requirements:

  • Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
