 Job Summary

The AI intern will help transform and modernize our reporting capabilities within Power BI or our ERP System (IFS). This role is ideal for a technically curious student who enjoys working with data, streamlining processes, building intelligent automation, and turning complex datasets into actionable insights.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze existing reporting workflows and identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven improvements
• Document data models, reporting logic, and AI experiments for maintainability and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Engineering, Sourcing) to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Assist in designing, building, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports using ERP and related data sources
• Data Analysis & SKU Rationalization Support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Operations, to drive accountability
  • Analyze ERP and sales data to support SKU rationalization initiatives
  • Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify unique vs. shared components across sales SKUs
  • Flag components that would become obsolete if parent SKUs are obsoleted
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose automation opportunities.
  • Develop and test AI-assisted workflows to automate SKU comparison and rationalization analysis.
  • Assist in building models to recommend SKUs for consolidation or retirement

 Job Skills Requirements

• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or other AI-related fields
• Experience or coursework in data analysis, machine learning, or AI concepts
• Strong working knowledge of an ERP system or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Positive attitude and a high level of initiative to learn and perform the job
• Strong ability to think critically, communicate clearly and effectively both verbally & in writing
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of an ERP system or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Good decision-making skills
