Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Assist supervisors in conducting gene knockout experiments.
- Support shake flask fermentation optimization procedures.
- Help with protein quantification tasks.
- Participate in tag evaluation for heterologous protein expression.
- Assist in protein purification processes.
- Prepare necessary materials and reagents for laboratory experiments.
- Record and organize experimental data accurately.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- The ideal candidate is a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Candidates with a background in Molecular Biology will be preferred, with a solid understanding of basic molecular biology principles and techniques.
- The successful candidates should be innovative and responsive, have excellent teamwork and communication skills, and be able to thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
- The candidates should demonstrate a high level of responsibility, data integrity awareness, and the ability to document experimental work clearly and accurately.
- The candidates should be able to work at IFF for 6–9 months.
- Internship data must be reported and documented within IFF. If data needs to be presented at the university, it should be done in a small committee under a non-disclosure agreement, involving only supervisors from IFF and the university.
How Would You Stand Out?
- Completed at least three months of hands‑on internship experience in a biochemistry laboratory.
- Familiar with basic laboratory procedures, safety practices, and experimental workflows.
- Able to follow protocols accurately and maintain clear, organized lab records.
- Demonstrated good oral English skills for daily communication and discussion of result
- Strong sense of responsibility, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a lab environment.
