POSITION SUMMARY:

This internship offers hands-on exposure to distribution operations and operational data analysis within a warehouse and distribution environment. The intern will support daily distribution activities, collect and analyze operational data, and assist the team in identifying improvement opportunities.

This role is suitable for university students who are interested in logistics, supply chain, operations, or data analytics and want practical industry experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Distribution Operations Support

  • Assist in daily distribution operations including outbound shipments, store deliveries, and return flows

  • Observe and document end‑to‑end distribution processes and workflows

  • Support coordination with warehouse staff and/or service providers to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Participate in operational checks related to shipment accuracy, timeliness, and documentation

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Collect operational data such as shipment volumes, delivery performance, order accuracy, and turnaround time

  • Maintain structured data records using Excel or internal systems

  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities

  • Support preparation of simple reports, charts, and summary presentations for the operations team

Process Improvement Support

  • Assist in process mapping, time studies, and operational observations

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives with data‑driven insights

  • Handle ad‑hoc operational and analytical tasks assigned by the distribution team

GRADUATION ASSIGNMENT TOPIC:

  • Candidate needs to complete a project assigned by the line manager during the 2 months and present to business leaders in the end of the program.

  • The project scope and objectives include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Understand end‑to‑end outbound distribution operations

    • Apply basic data collection and analysis

    • Identify practical and data‑supported improvement opportunities

    • Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Logistics
    • Operations Management
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Business Analytics
    • Business Administration or related fields
  • No prior full‑time work experience required
  • Any exposure through internships, academic projects, case studies, or part‑time work related to logistics, warehouse operations, data analysis, or operations is an advantage
  • Experience handling data collection, reporting, or basic analysis in academic or project work is preferred

Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g. formulas, data sorting, basic pivot tables)
  • Ability to work with data sets and maintain accurate records
  • Familiarity with supply chain, warehouse, or distribution concepts from coursework is an advantage
  • Exposure to ERP, WMS, or data tools through study or projects is a plus but not required
  • Nice to have: Experience or working knowledge of Power BI for building dashboards, reports, and data insights.
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
  • Additional local language skills are an advantage depending on location
