This role gives you hands-on exposure to real business and scientific data while contributing to projects that support Novonesis’ purpose of driving positive change through biosolutions.

The Role & Your Impact

As a Data Intern, you will support the team with data flow design and implementation, data analysis, reporting, and day-to-day data-related tasks. The role is primarily operational, with opportunities to contribute ideas and insights that help improve decision-making and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting data collection, cleaning, and basic analysis
• Preparing reports, dashboards, or visualizations for internal stakeholders
• Assisting with documentation and data quality checks
• Collaborating with team members on ongoing data projects
• Supporting ad-hoc analyses and tasks as needed by the team

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Business Analytics, or similar)
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar)
• Ability to work with structured data and pay attention to detail
• Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken
• A structured, reliable, and collaborative working style

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

• Experience with data engineering and dataflow establishment
• Familiarity with databases or cloud-based data platforms
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Interest/experience in  life sciences, or industrial data
• Previous internship, student job, or project work involving data or biotechnology lab
