About the Role

Job Description:

Support the RSES contracts department in the ongoing administration and management of our various suppliers and subcontractors who support the RSES program. Help the team perform a comprehensive review of all Subcontract data stored in AMA's Reporting and Management Information System (ARAMIS) and RSES vendor portal and help perform various data-cleanup activities. Perform research into AI tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Copilot to determine how the contracts department can better leverage AI to handle routine, manual tasks while maintaining compliance with all AMA or NASA data security requirements.

This internship begins June 1, 2026, and concludes August 7, 2026.

On-site work at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA is requested of candidates that meet the facility requirement of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Pay for this position is $19.24 - $23.37, depending on education.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the RSES contracts department in the ongoing administration and management of our various vendors and subcontractors who support the RSES program.  
  • Help the team perform a comprehensive review of all Subcontract data stored in AMA's Reporting and Management Information System (ARAMIS) and RSES vendor portal and help perform various data-cleanup activities.  
  • Perform research into AI tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Copilot to determine how the contracts department can better leverage AI to handle routine, manual tasks while maintaining compliance with all AMA or NASA data security requirements. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in business, accounting, finance, economics.
  • Must be able to work on-site at NASA LaRC in Hampton, VA.

Project Milestones: 

  • Report on data-cleanup activities under ARAMIS and RSES vendor portal.
  • Report on potential use cases of Microsoft Power Automate or other company approved AI applications. The intent is to automate certain routine processes we have such as procurement checklists and procurement memos. 
  • Perform subcontract administration functions including but not limited to - issuing RFQs, supporting new supplier onboards, review and analyze proposals, prepare procurement files for review/approval.

 

Final Project Deliverable: 
 

An assessment on use cases for AI tools, a review of all data cleanup activities within ARAMIS and the RSES vendor portal, and writeup documenting your experiences and lessons learned supporting the RSES PMO & Contracts team
