Hours & Pay

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Office hours.
Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00/hr.


Position Summary

Our team of innovative art directors/game designers, software engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers work together to create a wide range of fun and exciting arcade games and entertainment experiences. This role is expected to be a working team member, testing, and validating software for amusement machines, along with giving feedback to software developers regarding issues or anomalies found during their tests. 


Responsibilities:

  • Test the functionality of a product against a design document or flow chart
  • Run through all menu options and evaluate the products functionality
  • Work with developers to ensure quality software
  • Experiment with a game’s behavior outside of normal operation
  • Document failures as they occur and attempt to reproduce failures
  • Investigate possibilities for product failure
  • Assist mechanical and electrical team to validate hardware functionality
  • Disconnect devices, test product functionality, and document the behavior
  • Make suggestions for product improvements from a user’s perspective
  • Work with service to replicate failures being reported from the field

Working Environment:

  • R&D shop: power tools and other mechanical equipment used, potential for loud noises, and PPE where applicable
  • Test lab: mostly clean
  • Office Environment

Requirements

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to do tedious tasks
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Communicates information properly
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing processes
  • Desire to learn new technology
  • A passion for improving the quality of R&D products

  • Minimal

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25lbs for short periods
