About the Role
<div>As a Government Accounting Intern, the intern will assist in various accounting functions, including but not limited to:&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><ul><li>Preparing balance sheet schedules and settling accounts related to government taxes&nbsp;</li><li>Reconciling accounts for government-related transactions&nbsp;</li><li>Summarizing transactions, collecting supporting documents, and filing records&nbsp;</li><li>Assisting in financial statement reporting and management reports&nbsp;</li><li>Supporting internal auditing procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Participating in special projects based on workload, skills, and available opportunities</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Expectations and learning outcomes:</strong></div><ul><li>Gain a working knowledge of government-related accounting processes&nbsp;</li><li>Apply financial reconciliation and reporting skills in a corporate setting&nbsp;</li><li>Develop an understanding of internal auditing practices Improve organizational and document management skills&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate effectively in a professional work environment</li></ul>
