Job Responsibilities

The Analyst, Investment Finance & Valuations will have various duties during his/her work term which will include:

  • Assist with preparation of internal investment valuations, portfolio summary schedules and presentations as part of the quarterly valuation process;
  • Help maintain and update excel-based financial models;
  • Review and perform variance analysis on financial data;
  • Assist in market research, maintaining market data and providing summary reports;
  • Prepare valuation documentation for internal / external audit purposes;
  • Assist with the development of budgets and forecasts;
  • Working closely with other members of the Valuation team in order to ensure accuracy and completeness of analyses and documentation; and
  • Participate in special projects or duties, as required.

You should apply if:

  • Working towards a business degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Interest in pursuing a CBV designation is a plus;
  • General knowledge of financial and valuation analysis (i.e. financial statements, valuation methodologies, etc.);
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level);
  • Working knowledge of Capital IQ is a plus;
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to perform under time pressure and respond to unexpected events or circumstances;
  • Works on improving own knowledge, skills and aptitudes; and
  • A strong team player able to operate in a fast-paced environment with numerous priorities and deadlines with effective organization time management skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $44,850.00 - $56,550.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.
