About the Role

LOCATION & DURATION 

All internships will be based in our South San Francisco, CA and will be in-person minimum 4 days a week in the office. This internship starts in late June 2026 for approximately 10-12 weeks. This is a temporary role working up to 40 hours per week and the hourly rate is $35/hour.

As an Accounting Intern at Structure Therapeutics, you will gain hands-on experience with real-world accounting processes, financial systems, and reporting tools, while developing an understanding of internal controls and audit procedures.


Our interns will assist with the daily operations in each of their specific departments assigned to and gain exposure, including but not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Under supervision, you will:

  • Prepare journal entries in support of the month-end close process
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Support in reviewing credit card transactions and employee expense reimbursement processing
  • Assist with audit support, including gathering documentation for external auditors
  • Review transactions for accuracy and proper account classification
  • Extract, clean, and organize financial data from multiple sources to support reconciliations and reporting
  • Help maintain organized financial records and supporting schedules
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • You must be a full-time student in an accredited program with plans to return to school in Fall 2026
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2026.
  • Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables preferred) 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn


Final Presentation

  • Each Intern is expected to prepare a short presentation to share what they have learned through their internship and how they hope their new knowledge will help them secure their future career. Presentations may be approximately 10-15 minutes long and should include visual aid (posters or PowerPoint).

The target hourly rate for this intern role is $35.00 an hour. Structure Therapeutics determines salary ranges based on level and scope of responsibilities, as well as location. Individual pay is further determined by additional factors, including relevant experience, specific job skills, education and training. Students will be on their own for housing, benefits, transportation, etc., and need to provide adequate work authorization to work for any US employer through the duration of the program
