About the Role

THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Context of the mission – Department presentation – Team organization

As a Data Science Intern, you’ll work closely with full-timers and learn the ins and outs of Health, Safety and Environment and help protect people and the planet. You will collaborate with the Data Science Manager on real-world projects we actually need done. This internship will allow you to learn how machine learning techniques are applied to model and predict large datasets. Working with real-world data will allow you to gain an understanding of the differences between theory and practice. If you’ve never considered a career in building materials, you’re not alone. Many of us here have been in a similar position before coming on board. Missions

 

- Design and implement data pipelines and data storage solutions
- Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleaning processes
- Develop and deploy machine learning models - Develop and maintain data documentation- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs

 

DESIRED PROFILE

 

Educational level / Training

Enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

 

Technical skills & professional experience:

- Strong programming skills in Python
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Understanding of data modeling and database integration principles - Experience with data visualization- Experience with big data processing technologies such as Spark or Hadoop

 

 Spoken languages:
