About the Role

Our Distribution & Business Support teams collectively support the growth and effectiveness of Manulife’s distribution channels through business enablement, sales initiatives, strategic partnerships, data analysis, and agency communications.

This co-op internship opportunity spans four departments within Manulife’s Distribution business, you will have a chance to join one of the key functions, including:

  • Agency Business Enablement
    This team supports agency distribution by enhancing business processes, strengthening execution capabilities, and enabling business initiatives through research, reporting, and cross‑functional project coordination. Interns gain exposure to agency operations and internal business enablement initiatives.

  • Bancassurance
    This team supports the distribution of Manulife’s insurance solutions through strategic partnerships with banking partners. Interns assist with market research, performance tracking, and strategic planning activities related to bancassurance initiatives.

  • Business Development
    This team supports agency growth initiatives through program execution, agency communications, and campaign support. Interns contribute to content preparation, campaign materials, and coordination of agency-related business initiatives.

  • Sales and Promotion Analytics
    This team drives sales campaigns and promotional initiatives, focusing on performance analysis and agent engagement. Interns support sales campaign analytics, reporting, and the planning and execution of agent promotional events.

Join us as a co-op intern to support a variety of business, analytical, and project-related activities. This role offers broad exposure to distribution operations, strategic planning, campaign execution, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination. It is well suited for a proactive, organized, and motivated student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Candidates with a strong preference for working with a specific team are encouraged to clearly indicate their preferred team and reasons in their cover letter.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market, competitor, or desk research to support business initiatives and strategic planning activities.

  • Support data consolidation, basic analysis, and maintenance of trackers related to sales performance, campaigns, or business initiatives.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentation decks, reports, summaries, and internal communication materials for stakeholders.

  • Support project execution by coordinating logistics, tracking progress, documenting discussions, and following up on action items.

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of sales campaigns, promotional initiatives, or agency-related programs.

  • Support content preparation for presentations, campaigns, or agency communications, including basic editing or adaptation of materials when required.

  • Provide ad hoc analytical, administrative, and project support to the respective teams as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Data / Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable working with data and preparing clear, structured presentation materials.

  • Comfortable with basic data analysis, research, and summarizing insights in a clear and practical manner.

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proactive, reliable, well organized, and able to manage multiple tasks while working effectively with stakeholders.

  • Able to commit to the internship on a full-time basis, from July 2026 to December 2026.
