Internship - Developing a platform for automated virtualized deployment

About the assignment
The goal of this assignment is the development of a strategy and Proof-of-Concept platform for building, configuring and deploying a series of interconnected virtual machines. Each VM has to be built and configured according to a specification. Afterwards, a complex software stack has to be deployed to the VMs, requiring them to be interconnected on a network level. The output of the platform is a set of bundled VMs ready to be deployed on a hypervisor.
