About the role:

As a SSA intern you will help perform engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services to support operation of the nuclear power plants in the nuclear safety and performance field. The internship will start in September, with a duration of 4 to 6 months.

You will report to the SSA Manager and be located at our HQ in Madrid, but we will also value candidates in Vila-Seca. This is a paid hybrid internship and you will be eligible to receive course credit.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of engineering tasks in support to operation of nuclear power plants.
• Coach by experienced engineers.
• Develop proficiency in thermo-hydraulic calculations for transient analyses and for systems evaluations.
• Document analyses.
• Propose solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects.
• Help prepare licensing documentation.
• Participate to integrated and international project teams and communicate with involved parties.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical or Physics engineering; Energy Engineering or Nuclear Engineering.
• We require the intern to enroll for the next academic year.
• Apply fundamental engineering principles (including fluid mechanics and thermodynamics).
• Technical interest, predisposition for understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities required.
• Fluent in English.
• We will value French.
• We value programming skills.
