ROLE OVERVIEW
The Product & Technology team is seeking a summer Technology Intern to support an exciting initiative to capture and share how AI tools are being used across our global product and development team. This is a people-first project — the goal is to hear from everyone, celebrate what’s working, and make great practices more accessible across the organization.
The intern will work closely with Annika Finck and Albert Hofeldt, conducting conversations with product managers and developers, capturing insights and examples, and helping turn those findings into practical resources the whole team can use.
Key Responsibilities
• Have 1:1 conversations with product managers and developers across the full P&T team to learn how they’re using AI tools in their day-to-day work.
• Develop thoughtful questions with guidance from project leads; adapt the conversation to draw out practical examples and unique insights from different roles.
• Document workflows, tool preferences, and tips across the product development lifecycle — capturing what’s working well and what could work better.
• Build a shared knowledge base of recordings, summaries, and examples that the team can reference and build on.
• Look for patterns across conversations to understand how AI adoption connects to team delivery and identify conditions where teams are thriving.
• Identify standout practices and examples that can be shared more broadly to help other teams level up.
• Prepare a final summary with practical recommendations to help Power Factors continue investing in AI tooling in ways that support our people.
Deliverables
• Shared knowledge base of AI tools, workflows, and best practices for the P&T team
• Practical AI tools guide with use cases, tips, and recommendations by role and context
• Curated examples of standout practices ready to share across teams
• Insights summary with recommendations to guide future AI tooling investments
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a computer science, mechanical engineering, information systems, or related academic program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interviewing and synthesizing perspectives from technical professionals.
• Curious and self-directed; comfortable working with new tools and learning independently.
• Interest in AI tools, software development practices, or product operations.
• Analytical mindset; ability to identify patterns across qualitative and quantitative data.
• No prior experience in software development or AI required
