ROLE OVERVIEW
The Legal & Contracting team is seeking a summer Legal Intern to support the implementation and adoption of the Pramata Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. This role focuses on legal operations, process improvement, and system usability, while providing exposure to commercial contracting in a global organization.
The intern will work closely with legal team members and support both legal and internal business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with contract ingestion into the CLM, including tagging and metadata validation.
· Support the organization and clean-up of contract data within Pramata.
· Help map existing contracting workflows and processes into the CLM.
· Identify gaps between the desired future-state and current system configuration.
· Assist with organizing and maintaining contract templates and clause libraries.
· Help prepare internal user guides, FAQs, and quick reference materials.
· Coordinate and document feedback from legal team users during early adoption.
· Support education of internal stakeholders on CLM use and best practices relevant to their departments.
· With additional time:
o Inventory and document current legal AI tools in use (e.g., Harvey, Copilot, Claude, CLM AI features).
o Conduct interviews or working sessions with legal team members to document current use cases, pain points, and gaps.
o Evaluate strengths, limitations, and ideal use cases for each tool (e.g., drafting, summarization, research, playbooks).
Deliverables
· Cleaned and organized contract data set (as scoped)
· Workflow documentation aligned to Pramata
· Internal user guides and FAQs
· Summary of recommended system improvements or configuration adjustments
Qualifications
· Currently enrolled in a law, business, information systems, or related academic program.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Comfort working with software systems and documentation.
· Interest in legal operations, contracting, or process improvement.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
