The Audience & CDP Strategy team is part of the Marketing department and focuses on how Chamberlain Group uses customer data to create relevant, personalized experiences across digital channels like email, mobile apps, websites, and paid media. We help ensure customer data is accurate, well‑organized, and used consistently so marketing teams can reach the right audiences in the right way.

The Audience and CDP Intern will help connect data to real marketing execution: reviewing how audiences are defined, identifying opportunities to improve personalization, and turning insights into clear recommendations. This role offers hands‑on exposure to modern marketing technology, customer data strategy, and how data-driven decisions power real-world customer experiences.

The Audience & CDP Intern at Chamberlain Group, will support the team in advancing the Customer Data Platform (CDP) as the system of record for audience definition, logic, and symmetry across channels. You will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to gather, organize, and synthesize audience and behavioral insights, helping ensure high-quality data is translated into consistent audience strategies across CRM, Mobile, Web, and Media. This role offers hands-on experience for a curious, analytical student interested in marketing audience strategy, data-driven personalization, and how customer insights power marketing execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize existing CDP capabilities that can accelerate personalization without new platform investment – determine impact and path to execution

  • Partner with the CDP team to evaluate current audience performance reporting and identify additional data points that would produce actionable insights

  • Conduct a cross-channel audience assessment to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and redundancies in audience logic and personalization level

  • Contribute to the development of audience governance documentation, standards, and process recommendations

  • Support the establishment of the CDP as the centralized system of record for audience definition, logic, and suppressions across channels

  • Collaborate with IT, Data Science, and channel partners to validate findings and recommendations

  • Support creation of executive-ready documentation and presentations summarizing insights and recommendations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or Data Science

  • Ideal candidate has completed coursework in Data Science and/or Statistics (marketing or other)

  • Rising sophomore or junior at the time of the internship

  • Ability to work onsite in Oak Brook, IL at least three days per week

  • Strong interest in customer data, audience strategy, and marketing technology

  • Strong analytical, project management, and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear documentation

  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides/Canva

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing major with coursework or a minor in analytics or data science

  • Interest in pursuing a career in marketing, marketing analytics, or marketing technology

  • Basic familiarity with digital marketing channels such as email/CRM, websites, mobile apps, and paid media

  • Exposure to data concepts such as segmentation or personalization
