Enthusiastic and motivated individual for an entry-level Intern - IT Cyber Security & DevOps position. The candidate for this position must have entry-level planning, organization, and communication skills and be eager to learn all aspects of IT Support involving Cyber Security and DevOps.  This position will work closely with our security, web development and cloud infrastructure teams, gaining practical exposure to key cybersecurity solutions and Azure cloud services. You will assist in implementing, monitoring, and testing security controls, particularly using Okta, Barracuda, and other security tools. You’ll also support work around our sprint planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support with the configuration, monitoring, and administration of endpoint protection, threat detection, and response.
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining Okta for identity and access management (IAM), including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and user provisioning/de-provisioning.
  • Support the deployment and monitoring of Barracuda security solutions, concentrating on email protection, firewall management, and secure access control.
  • Monitor alerts and reports generated by these tools to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Develop play books for security incidents that are not documented
  • Assist the web development team and DevOps with release planning – using MS DevOps for PBIs, reporting, testing dev work, troubleshooting bugs
  • Build AI agents and work with IT & Business teams to deploy

Knowledge and Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., encryption, firewalls, network security).
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, MS Azure is a plus.
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash is desirable.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Microsoft Defender, Okta, and Barracuda.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, including user authentication and MFA.
  • Strong AI understanding beyond generative AI and familiarity with MS CRequirements
  • Candidates should be in the process of pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3 days a week in the office (south tech center in Denver); WFH Monday/Friday
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, security protocols, and development lifecycle
  • Team-oriented work experience

Pay Range
$22$25 USD

You must be able to connect to a reliable internet service to perform all job duties when working from home. Work authorization is required, and sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

This is a hybrid role, with some days remote and some days on-site (typically 3 per week) in our office at 9127 S. Jamaica St., Englewood, CO 80112. When working in the office, we follow CDC guidelines.
