Position Summary:
The SWELL (Summer Work Experience in Law) Intern will perform a variety of tasks for various practice groups and departments throughout the law firm. These may include data and fact research, assisting with preparations for depositions or hearings, attendance at depositions or hearings, assisting with court filing.
Essential Functions:
- Perform data and fact research.
- Review and summarize documents.
- Assist with preparations for depositions.
- Assist with preparations for court hearings.
- Prepare documents for filing with courts.
- File documents with courts or other government agencies.
- Other administrative tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong research skills
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize assignments
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some college coursework preferred.
- No prior experience required.
This part-time temporary position offers an hourly wage of $18.00, with an expected work schedule of approximately 30 hours per week. Please note that this position is not eligible for benefits.
