Position Summary: 

Facility is a Level II Mental Health Transitional Living Home licensed through BHA. Facility serves adults of all genders with 16 beds where residents can stay for two weeks while stepping down from hospitalization, taking respite from homelessness, or for a safe environment during medication regimen changes.

 

Student Supervisor’s Credentials:

  • LCSW, LAC

Hours required:

  • 16-20hrs/week

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • This is a NON-PAID student intern opportunity 

 

Duties & Functions: 

  • Intern will support with comprehensive assessments for mental health level of care justifications,
  • Engage in substance use early intervention using SBIRTs, and has the option to run a group. 
  • Skills practiced will include risk assessment, crisis intervention, de-escalation, group facilitation, and engagement with multidisciplinary teams via coordination with treatment teams and referring facilities.   
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
