About the Role

Position Overview

This corporate legal internship provides an opportunity for a law school student entering the second or third year of law school to work as a legal intern in our  fast-paced Corporate Law Department.  The position will report to Senior Counsel/Attorney in the Office of the General Counsel. 

 

Work areas may include a broad range of matters, such as: securities, corporate governance, corporate finance and treasury, mergers & acquisitions/dispositions, employment and labor, claims and litigation, immigration, compliance and ethics, intellectual property, and other general corporate legal work.

 

The intern must be a self-starter, well organized, detail oriented and professional. The intern must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills; demonstrate logical thinking, reasoning, and good judgment; and have the ability to work independently or within a group/team setting. In addition, the intern must have strong analytical and time management skills, and must be able to meet deadlines.

 

Our business and legal environment enables an intern to experience a wide range of in-house legal issues common to large international manufacturing companies.  This position is a summer/ temporary position and may not lead to permanent employment after graduation. 

 


Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

OR

  • For Legal Jobs: Pursuing a Juris Doctor degree or Doctor of Law degree (J.D.)

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)

Desired Skills

  • Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)

Benefits and Compensation

This position offers competitive pay to support employees as they gain real world experience and grow professionally. The hourly pay range is $27–$32 per hour. Benefits offered for intern and co op positions are limited to paid time off (PTO) and paid company holidays during the assignment.
