About the Role

The Athletic Graduate Intern at Gardner-Webb University is responsible for promoting and assisting an environment where the administration, supervision and management of his or her intercollegiate sport within the parameters of the rules and regulations of Gardner-Webb University and the NCAA.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Recruiting:

· Recruit your own area

· Recruit your position group

· Help with campus tours

· Assist with visits

Practice:

· Set up drills

· Make sure film is ready for practice

· Coach your position

Game duties and responsibilities:

· Duties as assigned by Head Coach or Director of Football Operations


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ● NCAA experience preferred

● Valid driver’s license, and eligibility to drive a college van.

● BA or equivalent combination of education and experience

● Effective communication, interpersonal and public relation skills

● Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and enthusiastic team attitude

● Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups of students, faculty and staff

● Experience planning, developing and administering budgets helpful

● Must be enrolled in a Gardner-Webb Master’s program
