About The Company
Treasure Coast Hospice is a non-profit community organization of skilled professionals and dedicated volunteers whose mission is to provide access to compassionate, caring, expert and professional hospice and grief support services to patients and families at the end of life. Founded in 1982, Treasure Coast Hospice has grown to serve more than 4,000 patients annually in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties. Thanks to the generous support of our community, the Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation is able to fund comprehensive hospice and grief support programs for Treasure Coast Hospice, including three Inpatient Units for those who need a higher level of care, the specialized pediatric program Little Treasures, music therapy, massage therapy, virtual reality experiences, individual and group bereavement services, and Camp Good Grief for children who have experienced the loss of a loved one. About the Role

Treasure Coast Hospice is seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to support our

communications and marketing efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in developing 

visual content that promotes our mission, programs, and community outreach initiatives. The ideal 

candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about design, and interested in contributing to meaningful 

work that supports patients and families.

Qualifications:

•  Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or 

a related field

•  Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required)

•  Basic understanding of typography, layout, and color theory

•  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

•  Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback

•  Excellent communication and time management skills

•  Experience with social media design and digital marketing

•  Familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Office, or similar tools

•  Basic photography or videography skills

•  Interest in nonprofit or healthcare-related work

Key Result Areas:

•  Assist in the creation of marketing and communication materials, including brochures, flyers, 

social media graphics, presentations, and digital content

•  Support branding initiatives by ensuring consistency across all visual assets

•  Collaborate with the marketing and communications team on campaign concepts and design 

execution

•  Edit and format documents, reports, and newsletters

•  Prepare files for print and digital distribution

•  Assist with photography, image editing, and asset management

•  Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas

•  Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

•  Portfolio showcasing design work (academic or personal projects acceptable)

•  Gain real-world experience working on mission-driven design projects

•  Develop a professional portfolio with published work

•  Learn about branding, marketing strategy, and nonprofit communications

•  Strengthen collaboration and project management skills

OSHA Category: Position will be categorized as category III (involves no routine or potential 

exposure to blood, body fluids/tissues).

Working Conditions:

•  Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in 

handling.

•   Sedentary – Exerting up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force 

frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human 

body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing 

are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria met.

•  The work is required to have close visual acuity such as/preparing and analyzing data and 

figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Additional Information: Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or 

beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster 

(man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. The person in the position will work in a 

smoke-free location and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions.
