The IT Intern – Production Enablement focuses on taking early-stage, AI-assisted applications and preparing them for real-world use. This role works directly with engineering to bridge the gap between rapid prototypes and production-ready systems in Microsoft Azure.
You will help turn rough, functional code into stable, secure, and scalable applications that the business can rely on.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review early-stage or AI-generated applications and identify gaps
- Assist in deploying applications to Azure environments
- Support containerization efforts using Docker
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Implement core production features
- Partner with developers to refactor prototype code into deployable solutions
- Create clear documentation and runbooks to support long-term maintainability
- Collaborate across teams to align development speed with production standards
- Manage multiple tasks with a focus on quality and delivery
- Stay current with modern development tools, Azure services, and AI-assisted coding workflows
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language
- Familiarity with Git version control, Command line tools
- Basic understanding of Cloud concepts (preferably Azure)
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure (coursework or certification is a plus)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
- Interest in improving code quality, performance, and maintainability
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
- This role operates in a professional office or hybrid environment.
- Work involves extended time on a computer, reviewing code, and working within cloud platforms.
