GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Intern will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to support the creation of engaging written and visual content. Responsibilities include writing articles, developing social media content, capturing photos and videos, and assisting with a variety of marketing and communications initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, with opportunities to build your portfolio and learn from experienced professionals in a fast-paced working environment.
This internship is a temporary, summer position, offering up to 40 hours per week. The anticipated start date is between mid-May and early June.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Craft written content including articles, social media posts, and newsletter blurbs.
- Capture photos and videos for various marketing initiatives.
- Assist with social media content planning.
- Create video content optimized for social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the team and other departments on creative concepts, projects, and campaigns.
- Gain exposure to marketing, communications, media relations, multimedia production, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a college senior or graduate student with a major in Marketing or Business Studies. PSU Kelce College student preferred.
- Must be in good standing as a student or successfully earned degree. Proof of good standing or degree is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, as travel is required. Must maintain driving standards- no more than 2 minor or 1 major driving violations within a 3-year lookback period.

- Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patient-and employee-base
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance to organization’s policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
- Be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members.
- Must be organized and able to manage/prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, adapts to change in a positive manner.
- Must be able to maintain good interpersonal relationship with co-workers and other members of the team and the organization.
- Provide customer service in accordance to the organization’s mission.

- Must possess excellent verbal and communication skills including reporting, and feature writing skills and a command for the nuances of social media writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily office setting with some travel to outlying clinics. Often sedentary position/sitting (80-90%), up to entire shift with prolonged, prevalent computer usage, technology fluency, and phone usage. High levels of manual dexterity with constant, repetitive movements of fingers, hands, and arms for typing and operating office equipment is mandatory. Ability to communicate with others through speaking and hearing clearly. Physical movements are regular, not intense in nature, involve walking, standing, bending, and reaching to access equipment or materials and lifting occasionally 10-20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel to outlying clinics requiring high alertness and visual acuity to adhere to traffic signals, signs, safety, and laws.
