About the Role

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, BWC Terminals is a premier provider of bulk liquid storage and logistics services to refiners, manufacturers, and distributors of bulk liquids in North America. The Company consists of 22 sites with over twenty million barrels of storage capacity. The BWC Terminals facilities are equipped to store a wide range of petroleum, chemical, renewables, and agricultural products. The Commercial Intern position is based in our corporate office in Downtown Houston.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
  • Rotates through our divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
  • Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
  • Engages with leadership and provides support.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes.
  • Learns and becomes knowledgeable on internal software systems.
  • Assists in creating reports as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and core concepts (revenue, costs, margins, profitability)
  • Willingness to continue learning finance fundamentals
  • Analyze and compare data, identify trends, and question the underlying drivers
  • Beginner–intermediate Excel (sorting/filtering, simple formulas, basic charts)
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Interest in how finance impacts operations and customers
