About the Role:
We are looking for an ambitious and passionate, content-obsessed individual to join the IMAX Internship Program this Summer. This 10-week program (June–August) is designed to provide hands-on learning, skill development, and real-world experience in a collaborative and innovative environment, based in our Playa Vista office.
This role is ideal for someone deeply immersed in culture and social media, with a passion for creating content that stands out. The ideal candidate is trend-savvy, creative, and quick to turn ideas into engaging, platform-native content that resonates with audiences.
Responsibilities
Create content for IMAX social channels, including videos and graphics that feel organic to the brand
Develop and pitch creative content ideas to the social team
Learn and apply IMAX brand guidelines and positioning in content creation
Build skills in social media content creation for a global brand
Collaborate with internal teams to develop content aligned with business goals and objectives
Support the creative content team with ad hoc projects as needed
Ideate and contribute fresh concepts for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
Demonstrated ability to create engaging content
Ability to take ownership of a concept from ideation through execution (concepting, pitching, shooting, editing)
Comfortable appearing on camera when needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Haves
Previous experience creating social media content for a brand in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience shooting with a DSLR camera
Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver quickly
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Passion for movies, entertainment, and culture

Hiring Range :
$21.00 (per hour) Placement within this range depends on a candidate’s experience, skills, internal equity, and regional market factors.
