About the Role

Position Summary:

The Department of Neurology at Tufts Medical Center is looking to hire a summer intern to work full time June-August 2026 to help work on a number of research databases and registries within our department. The internship will allow a current college student to work alongside Neurologists and Clinical Research Coordiantors to help with investigator led research projects. This is a paid position, requiring a minimum commitment of 32 hours a week, but up to 40 would be ideal. The candidate will learn to use our electronic medical record system and RedCAP. They will help with data collection, data entry, and may help with other investigator-led projects.

Job Overview 

Student intern will work under the supervision of a faculty member on a defined project in line with educational goals. Specific tasks and learning objectives will be defined by the student and faculty member.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program.

1. Physical Requirements:  

1. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.   

2. This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending/descending stairs and operating office equipment.   

3. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate and exchange information.   

4. Ability to see and read computer displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.   

 

Skills & Abilities: 

1. Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel computer applications. 

2. Excellent and meticulous organizational and technical skills are of the utmost importance as are documentation skills, and interpersonal and communication skills. 

3. Ability to work independently, under supervision and as a part of a team.
