About the Role

JOB TITLE:                Human Resources Internship 

Location/Hours: 

  • On-Site in Pasadena, TX 
  • 2-3 days max 15-20 hours/week for 6-8 weeks 

 

Overview:
The HR Intern will support the Human Resources team by leading a comprehensive Document Retention Project, ensuring company records are organized, digitized, and maintained in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. This role blends hands‑on project work with exposure to core HR functions, offering a strong learning experience for someone interested in HR operations, compliance, and process improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, update, and help implement the company’s Document Retention Policy.
  • Organize, categorize, and prepare physical HR files for digitization.
  • Scan and upload documents to the company’s cloud‑based storage system, ensuring accuracy and proper naming conventions.
  • Coordinate secure and compliant document destruction for records past retention timelines.
  • Maintain tracking logs and project documentation to monitor progress and ensure audit readiness.
  • Assist with general HR duties such as onboarding support, file audits, data entry, employee communications, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to identify process improvements and enhance document management workflows.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools, cloud storage platforms, and scanning equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
