Your Mission:
The Data Reporting Intern will support reporting and analytics initiatives within a production environment. This role will assist in developing and improving data tools that provide visibility into key business and operational metrics.
A primary focus of this position will be converting manual, paper-based production KPI boards (“Green Zone”) into digital dashboards, enabling real-time insights and improved decision-making. The intern will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into solutions within the organization’s ERP and data environment.
Explore the Depth of the Role:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define reporting requirements
- Lead the conversion of paper-based KPI boards (“Green Zone” boards) into digital dashboards
- Design and develop dashboards to monitor production and operational metrics
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting solutions
- Support ongoing improvements to reporting tools and processes
- Document dashboard logic, data sources, and definitions
- All other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Mission Readiness:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software.
- Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technology and manufacturing environments.
- Operating systems knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Computer hardware troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service and professional demeanor
- Knowledge in technical documentation
Travel Requirements:
- Rare, but may occur between SE locations
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times (e.g., files, office supplies, etc).
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, or reach within the office setting.
