About the Role
Position: Women's Center Director  
Hours: 20 hours per week        
Pay Rate: $20.94/hr (effective July 1, 2026)

Position Details :

The Director is responsible for all budgetary tasks of the Women's Center event planning. Serves as a liaison

when providing information to students and community organizations. The Director is supportive of the

overall team goals and a present collaborative manager of the team.


Job Description:

  • Coordinates a minimum of 3 Women's Center sponsored events per semester, which includes the AS Annual Women's Conference in Spring.
  •  Responsible for the fiscal management of Women's Center
  •  Oversees purchases for the program, including but not limited to, books and office supplies
  • Prepares and submits to AS Business Administration & Finance all requisitions for contracts and purchase orders
  •  Supervises the staff of the Women's Center
  • Acts as a liaison with campus departments such as Women and Gender Studies
  • Maintains historical and statistical records for the Women's Center program
  •  Provides up-to-date information, including student support services and updated referral list
  • Prepares and submits monthly and annual reports to Supervisor
  •  Coordinates room reservations using 25Live and updates the AS Program Event Calendar
  •  Makes design and social media requests to create marketing materials for annual and outreach events
  •  Responsible for updating the Program’s webpage, office guidelines and staff office hours
  • Attends mandatory monthly All Staff Program meetings and scheduled trainings

Qualifications :

  • Current student at San Francisco State University taking at least 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates

  • Supervisory experience

  • Previous volunteer in the Women's Center preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  •  Experience creating a budget and drafting contracts for program partners.

  • Excellent conflict resolution abilities. 

  •  Crisis prevention experience. 

  • Comfortability in delegating tasks to other staff and interns.

  • Knowledge of all campus partners and deep understanding of Women Center's history.

  •  Strong computer competency: spreadsheets, word processing programs,

    memos, organizing meetings, and filing

  •  Strong time management
