Position Details : 

Assisting the Director and Assistant Director in all phases of the Women's Center services. Serves as general

information resource center for the WC activities, which includes greeting new students, answering phones,

making appointments, and assisting with events and programming.


Essential Job Functions:
  • Provides support and referrals to the campus community regarding woman/female identifying products, issues, and themes

● Keeps track of inventory of office supplies, feminine products such as pads, tampons, panty

        liners, Plan B and pregnancy tests to ensure that inventory is always in stock

     ● Executes tasks and projects as delegated by the Director and/or Assistant Director and

       provides staff support, which includes, but is not limited to, conferences, workshops, and

        seminars

    ● Composes and types emails, reports, meeting minutes, and other office correspondence for

       the Director and Assistant Director.

    ● Supports with scheduling and organizing tabling/outreach events

    ● Maintains the library inventory and office supplies

    ● Manages Program referral list and schedules appointments with students who seek to

      learn about referrals

Qualifications:


● Must be a student at San Francisco State University enrolled in least 6 units for

undergraduates or 4 units for graduates.

● Women's Center previous volunteer experience is a plus.

● Administrative Office experience.

● Excellent written and verbal skills.

● Strong experience using Google programs such as calendar, forms, sheets and Gmail.

● Knowledge of social justice issues that affect the campus community.

● Understanding of systemic oppression and how these tie in with misogyny.

● Excellent communication skills with constituents that utilize the program's services.

● Experience overseeing volunteers is a plus.
