About the Role

Weyerhaeuser is pleased to offer Summer Student opportunities at our Natchitoches Engineered Wood Products Mill for the 2026 summer season. Their general duties will include performing housekeeping, cleaning, painting, production projects, and providing production support throughout the mill. The Summer Students will report to the area supervisor.

The wage for this position is $19.53 per hour.

Summer Students will begin in May 2026 and conclude the program the end of August 2026. Positions may be extended based on mutual business need and student availability.



  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

  • The ability to follow safe work practices and procedures.

  • Able and willing to work 8 1/2 hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

  • Enrollment in post-secondary education. (Evidence of enrollment in post-secondary education/technical/university courses must be provided.)

  • Eligible to work in the Unites States without sponsorship.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending. 

  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.

  • Must be willing and able to work holidays and overtime.

  • A current resume or detailed list of education and work experience is required for consideration.
