Job Description:
As an Analog Circuit Design Engineering Intern, you will contribute directly to Intel’s cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal circuit development efforts. In this role, you will participate in the design, simulation, and analysis of analog and mixed-signal circuits, supporting robust circuit implementation and integration. Your work will leverage graduate-level coursework and hands-on project experience to address real-world circuit design challenges. This position offers a collaborative, hands-on environment to deepen your technical expertise in analog circuit design, sharpen analytical problem-solving skills, and gain exposure to industry-leading design flows that support Intel’s technology leadership.
The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:
Contribute to analog circuit design and analysis, including schematic development and performance evaluation.
Perform circuit-level simulations to validate design intent across operating conditions and process corners.
Support definition and documentation of circuit-level requirements and specifications.
Analyze simulation results related to gain, bandwidth, noise, linearity, stability, and power.
Prepare clear and concise technical documentation and reports summarizing design approaches, simulation results, and insights.
Utilize AI-assisted tools for scripting and workflow support (e.g., simulation setup, result parsing, documentation support).
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of one year completed in the graduate program.
- Coursework or research experience emphasizing analog or mixed-signal circuit design (coursework substantially completed is preferred).
- Solid understanding of CMOS analog circuit design fundamentals, such as amplifiers, biasing, feedback, and stability.
- Foundational knowledge of linear systems and signal analysis as applied to analog circuits.
- Experience with analog circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE-based simulators), gained through graduate coursework, academic projects, or research.
- Minimum experience using AI-based tools for scripting or productivity support in an engineering or academic context.
- Intermediate English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Strong graduate-level background in analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Cadence® Virtuoso® / Spectre or equivalent.
- Experience applying analog design concepts to course projects, tape-out projects, or research prototypes.
- Advanced or Native English language proficiency.
