About the Role

Job Summary:

The Accounting/Finance Intern will get exposure to a variety of areas within the department with a focus on learning and executing industry skills on a variety of tasks and projects throughout the internship.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • N/A

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepares journal entries and executes other data entry tasks.
  • Assist with reconciliations
  • Assist with financial reporting and other accounting functions.
  • Assist with AR/AP functions.
  • Learn about accounting & finance principles, procedures, and software.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Currently enrolled in or completed college courses that reviewed financial preparation and analysis accounting functions.
  • Exposure to balance and income statements.
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, talking on the phone, attending virtual online meetings, and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
