Raba Kistner is seeking an energetic Environmental Student Intern, to join our team in San Antonio, TX.  Under immediate supervision, the Environmental Intern will assist with the completion of environmental projects in a timely and accurate manner within the specified budget. Primary duties will support inspections, surveys, and monitoring activities for Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, and Geosciences projects. The Environmental Intern will be expected to conduct site visits at project sites throughout the Greater San Antonio area and assist in completing field inspection reports, laboratory testing and processing, data entry, artifact/sample analysis, and general reporting duties, as required. 

  • Serves as an Intern on RKI environmental projects, completing identified tasks in a timely and accurate manner within the specified budget.
  • Conduct field and office work to support environmental projects at a variety of industrial, commercial, mixed-use, and undeveloped sites.
  • Compile and organize technical information and assist with preparation of technical reports as needed.
  • Perform administrative functions as needed for the completion of deliverables.
  • Through personal professional development and working with staff, develop a working understanding of all RKI environmental services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • College or university Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student in good academic standing in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field. 
  • Possess a current valid state issued driver’s license and meet company's auto insurability requirements.

Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Ability to multitask and possess excellent communication, organizational, and judgment skills. Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, reports, etc. Ability to effectively communicate information both written and oral and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently at a job site.
